java rant mode
i have so many versions of java virtual machines and runtime versions on my machine, it breakin me head
MS msjavx86.exe
Sun JDK
Sun Runtime version (something came with that and didnt ask me whether i wanted it)
Opera 6 with Java
JBuilder has it own version & and didnt ask me if i wanted it
So now i have the feeling they are killing each other
And the cute litte control panel that gets installed secretly with the Sun JDK is all confused -- won't even start up (but doesn't issue a warning)
What is the Correct & Proper way to have just one version of everything i need?
